Tornado Emergency Issued for Part of Oklahoma

National Weather Service's Highest Alert Level Issued for Area Including Oklahoma City

Tornado Touches Down, Emergency Warning Issued

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado emergency for parts of Oklahoma, including Oklahoma City. This is the highest alert level issued by the NWS and means that a violent tornado has touched down in the area.

The tornado emergency is in effect until 7:30 p.m. CST. Residents in the affected area are urged to take shelter immediately.
